Hypnosis for chakra balancing

Energy centers, gently aligned.

This session runs a soft column of light through the body and stops at the seven centers to help them settle.

It is built for people who want a quiet, visual way to unwind without needing to learn any system or theory. The aim is a short break where nothing is required of you but attention.

Most days feel like a series of small tasks that pile up faster than you can clear them. You move from one thing to the next without really feeling finished, and the sense of having enough never quite lands.

The mind stays busy with what is missing rather than what is already here.

What’s in it

A calming visualization that runs a soft column of light through you and lets your energy centers settle into gentle, even balance.

Why do it

You unwind, drop into deep relaxation, and come away feeling centered, clear, and quietly whole.

Timeline: Start to Finish

The middle section guides attention along the centers in a fixed sequence. This creates a clear path for the mind to follow, settling each spot in turn.

3 of the 4 stages are named techniques with a published origin, credited under each.

  1. InductionStage 16 min

    Progressive Muscle Relaxation

A classic head-to-toe relaxation. Tense and release, or simply soften, each muscle group in sequence.

After Edmund Jacobson PMR (1929); Dave Elman Hypnotherapy · what progressive muscle relaxation is

  2. DeepenerStage 23 min

    Staircase Descent

Visualized stairs descending into a deeper level of trance. Each step takes you down.

After Ledochowski, Deep Trance Training Manual

  3. Suggestion ScriptStage 310 min

    Chakra Balancing — Balanced

  4. AwakeningStage 42 min

    Calm Alert Awakening

Awake and present, but calm rather than energized. Good for evening or pre-meeting use.

    After Yapko, Trancework

Three ways to say it

The same goal, written three ways. You pick the one that sounds like something you would believe — and you can hear a different one tomorrow without rebuilding anything.

Balanced

A warm, all-round session that runs a soft column of light through you and settles your centers into gentle balance. The default.

Future self

Meet your centered self a week, a month, a year ahead and bring that clear, balanced calm back with you.

New identity

Step into being someone centered and aligned now, your inner light already clear and even, not working toward it.

Where it sits

Meaning, connection and the parts of the practice that are not about fixing anything.

Before you press play

Hypnosis is not for everyone. If you have epilepsy, a psychotic illness, or you are under psychiatric care, talk to your clinician before using this — here or anywhere.

Why this works — and what the research actually says

Group-level, not session-level: no study has tested this exact session, and we will not pretend otherwise. Every source below was opened and read on 2026-08-25 before it was quoted.

Why do it as hypnosis?

Trying to force a feeling of balance is rarely how it happens. This works by focusing attention on specific points along the body in a set order, repeating the path until the effort of holding focus fades.

It is a method of settling the internal noise rather than a fix for anything.

What 20 years of meta-analyses actually found

Hypnosis as a whole has been studied a great deal. The strongest results are for pain and for people going through medical procedures, and the quality of the studies varies enormously. Some found large effects.

Some found nothing at all.

  • 49 reviews, covering 261 separate randomised trials
  • Strongest evidence: pain, and medical procedures
  • Study quality is very uneven, and the authors say so

Worth knowing: The same overview rates only nine of those 49 meta-analyses as high methodological quality and 26 of them as critically low, and notes that 28 reported nothing at all about safety.

It is the best map of the field that exists, and it says the field is uneven.

The exact wording and figures

A 2024 overview pooled 49 meta-analyses covering 261 separate randomised controlled trials of hypnosis. Effects ran from d = -0.04 to d = 2.72, and just under two-thirds of the reported effects reached significance.

The strongest evidence was for people undergoing medical procedures and for pain.

An overview of reviews, which is a study of other studies rather than new patients. Useful because it is the widest honest view of where hypnosis has evidence and where it does not.
