Habits & Addictions
Hypnosis for pornography use
Reduce reliance. Reorient toward real intimacy and presence.
This session is for moments when you feel a pull toward the screen and wish to choose something else instead.
It treats the urge as a passing signal and spends time rehearsing the moment you turn toward real connection instead. There is no fight with the habit, only a quiet reorienting of what you reach for.
The screen has its own gravity, a familiar pull that shows up when the day goes quiet or the mind feels restless.
It is not the act itself that is the trouble, but the feeling of being pulled, the sense that the choice is already made before you have even thought it through.
This session starts with that first nudge, the moment before the choice.
What’s in it
More freedom around the habit and a warmer pull toward real presence and connection.
Why do it
A few quiet minutes reorients what you reach for, so the choice gets easier and more your own.

Perfect use-case: Pornography Use — hypnosis session
The familiar pull shows up exactly when the day goes quiet and the mind feels restless.
What you’ll hear in the Pornography Use session
The session frames the urge as a passing signal to be observed as a cloud, creating space to choose a different response and find comfort internally.
You notice the familiar pull toward the screen, the quiet nudge that signals a desire for something to fill a moment
This urge is simply a passing signal, a message from a part of you seeking comfort or a brief escape, and you can observe it now with gentle curiosity
You do not need to act on it immediately; you can simply notice its arrival, like seeing a cloud drift across the sky, acknowledging its presence without needing to chase it
There is a sense of freedom in just watching this feeling arise, knowing it is temporary and that you hold the power to choose your response
This is the first step toward a deeper kind of ease, the ability to pause and simply notice what is happening inside you
The urge may feel compelling, a magnetic pull toward the familiar glow and noise, but it is just a sensation, and sensations come and go
- like seeing a cloud drift across the skymakes the urge feel distant and temporary, reducing its grip
- a magnetic pull toward the familiar glownaming the screen's pull directly, then stripping it of power by calling it a sensation
Timeline: Start to Finish
The first minutes are all about noticing the urge arrive. The middle rehearsal imagines that urge as a wave you only watch, allowing a calm heaviness to settle through the body instead.
3 of the 4 stages are named techniques with a published origin, credited under each.

Why this works — and what the research actually says
Group-level, not session-level: no study has tested this exact session, and we will not pretend otherwise. Every source below was opened and read on 2026-08-25 before it was quoted.
Why do it as hypnosis?
Breaking a pattern by force usually makes the noise in the head louder rather than quieter. Hypnosis works on the path that leads there, not on the act itself.
It settles your attention and then spends the middle of the session rehearsing a turn toward presence and real warmth. It does not remove the option, it simply changes what you reach for when the feeling arrives.
Quitting smoking: the honest answer is that nobody knows yet
Cochrane grades medical evidence for a living. It reviewed 14 trials of hypnotherapy for quitting smoking, covering 1,926 people followed for at least six months.
Its verdict was not that it works, and not that it fails — it was that there is not enough good evidence to tell. If there is a benefit, they say it is small at most.
- 14 randomised trials, 1,926 people, followed six months or more
- Verdict: insufficient evidence either way
- Only 1 of the 14 trials was judged at low risk of bias
Worth knowing: The review rates its own evidence as ranging "from low to very low certainty, as there was not enough information and many of the studies had issues with their designs".
One study was judged at low risk of bias overall, ten at high risk and three unclear. On safety, most studies did not report whether adverse events were even collected.
The exact wording and figures
A Cochrane review pooled 14 randomised controlled trials with 1,926 participants.
Its conclusion: "There is insufficient evidence to determine whether hypnotherapy is more effective for smoking cessation than other forms of behavioural support or unassisted quitting.
If a benefit is present, current evidence suggests the benefit is small at most."
