Forest Path

Tall trees, dappled light, birdsong in the distance. Grounding and quietly alive.

This session takes you to a place of tall trees and dappled light where you walk slowly and stop when the time feels right.

The birdsong in the distance gives your mind something simple to follow as the path carries you further in. You are mostly asked to stand still and look around.

A path through tall trees where the light comes through in patches and the ground is firm. Birds call out from a distance and you do not need to answer them.

The only movement is the shifting of the leaves and the sound of your own walking, which is all that is required of you here.

What’s in it

Tall trees, dappled light, and birdsong that carries from a distance.

Why do it

The mind follows the birdsong and the light through the branches, and that simple path for attention brings the body down to the ground.

Why going here does anything

Following a line of birdsong that carries from a distance gives attention a gentle path to walk along. When your mind is busy tracking the light through the branches it is not doing anything else.

This simple act of watching the trees is what settles the body down to the ground.
