Water & Shores
The Deep
Descend the whole ocean, past the last of the light, into the slow blue dark where things make their own.
This session asks you to sink past the last of the light and let the surface go far away. You move down into a slow blue dark where the water presses in evenly from all sides.
There is nothing to do but drift and let the ocean hold your weight.
A descent through the water until the sun is gone and the blue gets very dark. You are suspended in a place where things move slowly and nothing needs you to swim.
The pressure is even and the only work is to let the deep ocean carry you.
What’s in it
A deep ocean to explore, past the last light, into the quiet blue.
Why do it
A descent into the ocean's deep where you need only move with the slow, natural rhythm to find peace.

Where this place comes from
Deep water appears in guided imagery as a natural descent vector, using gravity's pull as a pacing device.
The bioluminescent layer borrows from submarine pilots' accounts of the disorienting beauty found below the photic zone.
The ocean floor as rest stop is a modern addition, replacing the older tradition of perpetual sinking with a grounded endpoint borrowed from weightlessness therapy.
Questions people ask
What if I fall asleep during the journey?
The audio will either guide you back gently or ease you into sleep if it's a sleep variant. You can always stop it manually if needed.
Do I have to believe in hypnosis for this to work?
No belief is required. The journey works by focusing your attention on the descent into the deep ocean, whether you take it as real or imagined.
Will I get stuck in the deep ocean?
No. The audio includes a closing stage that guides you back from the deep at the end, just as it guided you down.
Is this real or am I imagining it?
The experience is both imagined and real in its effects. Your mind responds to the guided descent whether you picture it vividly or simply follow the words.
Where it sits
Rivers, warm springs, hidden tides, and whole worlds beneath the water.
Why going here does anything
A descent into the deep gives the mind a single direction to follow, and that is usually enough to quiet the noise of the day.
The blue here is a simple thing to hold, and holding a simple thing leaves no room for anything else. You are just moving with the water and letting the ocean do the work.
Before you press play
- Not the right session right now if any of these are live for you: fear of deep water; claustrophobia.
- 18+. Age floor set in the catalogue, not by us on the day.
Hypnosis is not for everyone. If you have epilepsy, a psychotic illness, or you are under psychiatric care, talk to your clinician before using this — here or anywhere.
